Blue Spruce Cloggers

Sunday, September 28, 2014   Tent Stage 10:30

The Blue Spruce Cloggers, based out of Mt. Sinai, NY, have been dancing and performing for over 25 years. Clog dancing is a lively and energetic form of dancing that includes elements of Irish and tap (and does NOT include things like wooden shoes and Viking helmets, in case you’re wondering). We’re always on the lookout for new talent for our upcoming shows, and anybody with a background in clog, tap, or Irish step dancing is welcome to join us.

We perform shows all over Long Island at fairs, festivals, libraries, etc., with and without our band, fiddle, banjo, mandolin. We are seven dancers and three musicians. We do Southern Appalachian Mountain style clog dancing primarily as well as some tap and Irish-Step. New dancers are welcome but must have clog, tap or Irish-Step experience and be between the ages of 16-50. We utilize Bluegrass, old-time string-band and country music. We do precision team and traditional freestyle clogging.
